Rat Rod & Roll

Snapped a shot of this mini-chopper/rat rod.  Check out the springer.

Raked-Out Sportster

We at Wes Creech Customs like us some Sportsters.  I saw this really cool sporty with a raked out front end.  This bad cell phone pic doesn't do it justice, but this bike had a really cool stretch in the up-tubes/down-tubes of the stock frame.  I like how they did it.

Hawg Lakes Rat Bike Category

There were some pretty cool bikes in the Rat Bike category.
Rat Rod contender

My favorite, and the eventual winner, was a blacked out Shovelhead with a springer front-end, sissy bar, and red hand-grips.

Rat Rod extraordinaire

Of course, can it really be a rat rod when it's sitting in a Softail frame?

Ironhead Bobber Project 2012

At some point in the build, we had to decide where to stick the oil tank. With the stretch from the hard tail, we now had a lot more space to work with. But what Wes came up with is something I've never seen on another bike. He took and old stock sporty oil bag and hung it from the hardtail like a saddle bag. When I saw it, I absolutely loved it! Soon enough, the idea became a reality:

And it's Done!

'75 Ironhead bobber project is complete. Took this picture last Saturday morning... perfect early morning cruise. I will continue to post pictures showing how the work-in-progress of the project. A lot of pieces on this bike were custom fabricated at Wes Creech Customs. The oil tank concept (which I'll post soon) was just insanely original, and was thought up by Wes himself. Other parts, like the exhaust, were pieced together from miscellaneous pipes. The bike is an all around bad ass, bare-bones, raw machine!
